What Is Pipe Squeezing/Pinching?

Pipe squeezing/pipe pinching is a technique used to control the flow of fluids including oil, dry or wet gas, multiphase fluids, non-potable oilfield water or potable water in polyethylene pipe by compressing the pipe between parallel bars until the inside surfaces make contact.

Benefits Of Pipe Pinching

When properly performed, the operator can usually obtain a complete flow shut-off. A pipe squeeze/pinch can be useful for making installation tie-ins, performing maintenance to system components, as well as for emergency repairs.

Our Capabilities

Pipe pinching up to 2″ steel and copper. Pipe Squeezing up to  12″ polyethylene/HDPE pipe. We can squeeze/pinch off lines which need to be cut and capped, as well as lines with flow in an emergency situation.

Industries Served

Industrial/Mechanical/Commercial Utilities

Industrial and utility piping systems are primarily used to transport or process fluids—both liquids and gasses.
As an alternative to Line Stopping, Tap Master, Inc can isolate your piping for repairs with our pipe squeeze and pipe pinch services.
Systems are designed and constructed to suit and support specific applications, such as heating, cooling, filtering, steam generation, or compression,
most times without valves in key locations. Our isolation systems are temporary valves where needed.

Water/Wastewater

Piping is an important part of modern water and wastewater treatment systems, water pumping units, desalination units, cooling water systems and others.
The piping is used to carry water, wastewater, chemicals and mixtures from one location to another.

Emergency Services Available!
